CERT

Beginnings:

The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program trains persons in disaster preparedness for disasters which may occur in their area. The course offers basic training in disaster response skills such as fire safety, light search and rescue, basic first aid and tirage and organization, specifically in the Incident Command System (ICS).

The CERT training manual sets out the above areas in several chapters that can be presented in four (4) to eight (8) weeks, depending on class time. Included in the training, before certification, is a session in hands-on practice.

The Mesquite NV training is fortunate to depend on the expertise of the Mesquite NV Fire Department.
